My kenmore dryer will start and run for about 5 minutes then quit. After a couple of minutes, we can start it again but the same thing happens. Any suggestions?

Check wiring connections at the door switch... A loose wiring connection or faulty switch could be giving the indication to the circuit that the door is being opened and turning off the dryer when in reality it's not...

Also cause of such problem could be a clogged exhaust (outside of the dryer as well as inside) leading to overheating or a faulty thermistor (if any).
In order to provide the most accurate advise we need the complete model number of the dryer.
Gene.
