My dryer stopped heating. Ordered new element from this site. Fast shipping! Replaced element..this did not solve my problem. Tested old element and it is still good. Did some research and tested all the thermostats. All good. The dryer will not run if the Wrinkle Care switch is off. Any ideas? Could really use the help!

The first thing now to look at is to see if you have 220/240 v coming in to the machine. [Note: only perform a test for voltage if you 100% sure how to do so. If not please call a service technician.] If you do have 220 / 240 at the terminal block look for any burnt wiring. One lead L1 runs the timer and side 1 of the heating element. The second lead L2 runs through a centrifugal switch on the motor to side 2 of the heating element. If both sides are not receiving 110 / 120 v the heating element won't work. With that said your heating issue coupled with the issue of not running unless the wrinkle shield is on, I suspect your timer is bad. You can purchase a replacement here if it is bad GE WE4M527 Timer - AppliancePartsPros.com Again do not attempt to check high voltage if you are not familiar with the process.
