A freezer that was given to me will not power up. Light comes on correctly. No compressor start. I removed power line going to relay and connected it directly to 110v. Compressor starts and runs to freezing.
Replugged refrig power line back into relay. No start.
Initial Display reading o of ff f and repeat..
Pressing any buttons have no effect on start or display
Pressed and held control lock key for 5 seconds
Display: o of ff f lo ff f...
Press control lock key again: lo ff f ul o of ff f o of ff f ..
Pressing control lock again--repeats pattern.
Is ul or lo a fault code or is this board melba toast?
If board is bad should thermistor be replaced also-as a set?

I've seen that same control go bad multiple times giving the same complaint you have I'd say you need a new one.
