Clicking noise inside refrigerator food compartment. Has happened 2 nights in a row at about 9:30 p.m. About 20 repetitive clicks with what seems to be a power skip between each click. Fridge remains cold - 38 degrees for food compartment, 5 degrees for freezer.

Since noise is inside fridge, not at the back of the fridge, maybe a defrost timer or timer switch? Something with temp control?

Hi, Janet.
Does the clicking sound comes from the freezer or fresh food compartment?

Hi, Janet.
From what I understand the clicking sound most likely is coming from the heater relay in the defrost control board. It's failed now that's why you start having frost at the back panel in the freezer. Replace the defrost board, it's located inside the control panel in the fresh food compartment. All you will need is either phillips screwdriver or 1/4 nut driver to take out the couple of screws that holds the control panel in place. Don't gorget to unplug the refrigerator.
Here is the defrost board

Remember, you can return any parts ordered from APP without questions asked.
Please let us know of the outcome of the repair.

Thank you.

Simon.
