I have a Crosley Shelvador side by side refrigerator and have noticed when opening the freezer that there is a excessive amount of water draining to the bottom on the inside and then freezing. Theres a hot piece of coil (heating element) that heats up and starts melting the ice which ends up dripping out the bottom of the door.
Why is this happening and what can I do to fix this issue? Thanks

Probably frozen drain, take boiling water and force the water down the drain with a turkey baster.

Thank you for your reply. I was not aware that it even had a drain. Where is it located?
