compressor makes a clicking sound ordered start device now my question is how do I remove the starting device from the compressor?

Hello, thank you for asking your question here. Unplug the unit before you attempt to service it.Once you have the lower back panel off you will see the compressor on the left. On the left side of the compressor is where the start device is located. There is a small piece of metal that clips to the compressor and goes over the start device. Remove the metal and pull the start device off. It's really straight forward. Refrigerator Repair Portland
