have e fridge with ice maker and water.About a year ago the ice maker quit working. i took the back off unpluged the electricalconnectors on the water valves and the one for the water which works s. reads 295. ohm the one for the ice maker reads 195. ohms. DOES that mean the valve is bad? \its the type that has one water line in and two lines out each line out has its own electrical plug?

Those readings do not indicate the valve coil is open, so we will need to do more testing. An easy test is to fill the ice maker manually and see if it dumps cubes in a few hours. If it does, the issue is likely with the valve or tubing. If it does not, the issue is likely with the ice maker itself. There are other tests, but this is a very easy way to get a general idea of where to start. Let me know if it dumps the cubes.
