Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Expert Joined: 10/21/2012(UTC) Posts: 263		Unplug the machine and remove the start device from the side of the compressor and shake it. If it rattles or starts to fall apart in your hands, it's bad and needs to be replaced.

Disconnected defrost heater at both ends and checked continuity accross it. Measured 23 ohms. Next checked defrost thermostat it was 10 ohms
