The dryer does not heat. Everything else seems to work. The fuse, thermostats and heating element all have continuity. How do I check the timer knob? At the top 3 terminals, there is continuity between the middle terminal and each of the outer terminals, but not between the outer ones. Since these are the ones that had the heavy wires attached, I assume these are the ones that go to the heating element.

The first thing that needs to be checked is the voltage where the dryer cord hooks up to the back of the dryer. You should be getting 240 volts AC between the outside two terminals. Then 120 between the center and the others.

Thanks. I will not have time to check that for a few days, but I will.
