[FONT=Calibri","sans-serif]Hi, my name is Jay. Ihave a kitchenaid kssc42qks00. While checking my ice maker I accidentlyshorted the wrong terminals to start the ice maker cycle. (I previouslydiscovered an always open thermostat in ice maker). Now I have no power to icemaker. Thermal fuse is good, there is no power before thermal fuse. The waterdispenser and ice dispenser work and the lights all work. Everything else worksgreat. I check the wiring diagram that came with the frig and it looks likepower comes from terminal #5 (LB/BL) on the control board but that also powersthe water and ice dispenser, they work so I’m thinking the electronic controlis OK. Any help would be greatly appreciated[/FONT]

the wiring diagram that came with the frig is incorrect. I found the correct one online from whirlpool. the problem was on the main control board. I could see where the circuit was fried (open circuit) on the printed circuit board.(see attachment) I was able to solder a wire over it to repair the open circuit. jhj561 attached the following image(s):
