My Roper dryer is not heating. Air flow seems normal, drum is tumbling, I replaced the heating element, what else can it be?

Hi. First of all check if you are getting 240VAC to the dryer. Then with dryer unplugged check the continuity of the thermal cut-off and the hi-limit thermostats above the heater contacts.(Take one wire off when testing). The thermal cut-off kit Part number: 279816
Another test is to jump the timer's contacts BK and R. If the heater comes on - replace the timer Part number: W10185972
Post the results. Simon.

I have now replaced the heating element and the thermal cut off kit. Everything on the dryer is working, but still no heat. This was not an expensive dryer, so unless there are a couple of inexpensive parts that I can put on this thing, it is actually going to be cheaper for me to just go buy a new one....any suggestions???

Hi.
Have you done any tests I suggested before replacing parts?
Simon.
