I check the continuity operating thermostat and bias heater and it was opened. I replaced it. dryer worked for an hour with heat then stopped working. i replaced operating thermostat and bias heater and it failed again this no heat at all. check heater element and the two thermostat attached to housing and they check fine. Should i replace everything? something is shorting it out. any suggestions?

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for Kenmore 11064982301 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Sorry but I am confused.
I looked up your unit on AppliancePartsPros and at the Sears parts site and the given model does not use an operating thermostat and bias heater.
It uses a thermistor and electronic control.

Please check your model number.

See the attachment for the tech sheet for the model number you gave.

thanks for your help and the service pdf. Its was a great help. You are right its call a thermistor. It looks like my problem is the electronic control assembly according to manual since everything else is fine. could it be anything else?

I cannot say as I do not know how you checked the other parts to ensure they are OK.

One thing a lot of people miss is checking the power.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
Check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.
Do this with the heater off and on.
Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!!

Also I think that the motor and the heater relays on this unit are the same but double check just to be sure.
If they are then you can swap them. If now the unit will not run, replace the relay.
