I need to replace 2 heating element in the dryer which measure about 50" in length, but the replacement part # AP2620177 looks to be 13" long in the compressed form as shown on this site --question will this element when stretched out make the 50" span. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help. Yes, you do have to stretch them. Grab the ends (straight pieces) and evenly pull them to approx length. Then just evenly pull them through the insulators.
