Look for an unplugged connector behind the control panel. Damper door is part # AP3775595

And I look behind the control panel to see if anything was unplugged I did'nt see one so would the damper make the refrigerator not cool and the freezer side not to freeze?

Okey I will try this one more time. I looked behind the control panel to see if anything had came unplugged I did not see any. So would the damper inlet cover piece broke cause the refrigerator side not to cool and the freezer side not to freeze? Model GSS25LGMFWW

No. Is the refrigerator running? Is the fan in the freezer running? Is the fan in the rear of the unit running? Is the compressor running? All three of these components must be running at the same time, when the unit is not in the defrost mode. Report what you find and we'll help you diagnose your problem.
