A friend was trying to get crushed ice and nothing was coming out . He kept grinding away until the motor stopped. My thought was that the motor had burned out.

The motor has 4 wires - BR/WH, RD/WH, GY,BU on terminals 1,2 5,7.

I didn't get voltage readings with 1,2 connected and the dispenser lever depressed (the light went on and the freezer door switch was taped). On the motor there were 75 ohms between 1-2 and 14 ohms between 5-7.

My questions are :Is the micro switch likely to go in this situation? How easy is it to replace the switch? Can I do anything more to test the motor (I have no way to supply DC current to 1-2).
