My ice dispenser motor failed to turn anymore so I ordered a new motor from APP.com but the auger on the old motor will not come off. It does not have a 7/16 nut on it like the video for replacing the motor ( part 2188242). Instead the auger is threaded but I can't hold the motor shaft well enough with the recommended needle nose pliers to unscrew the auger (clockwise). Can you help? How do I get the auger off so I can replace the motor?

Update. I got the auger off just taped with hammer to unfreeze. However, the new motor did not fix the problem. Still does not turn the auger to dispense ice. If I switch to crushed I can hear the solenoid switch, but the auger is not turning. I removed the ice bin and cleaned it, motor still doesn't turn auger. I removed ice bin again and pushed in the door switch, and the ice dispenser lever (switch) and the motor is not turning the coupler. The unit has power as the bulb is on, and the solenoid switches. Any ideas? Thanks.
