greetings from a wet Sydney Australia. The dryer blower wheel failed mid winter last season and has only just been replaced. I also replaced the roller wheels as one had disintegrated. took the opportunity to also replace the front slides. now the dryer is back in service it seems to run and stop mid cycle. pushing the start button won't restart the dryer. I suspect the High Temp thermostat is cutting in. When I had the dryer in pieces , I wasn't sure if the motor is completely up to scratch as it didn't turn freely. However have no idea how freely it should turn. Any suggestions on what I should check? if a new one is required, AP4043522 ( 50Hz) is probably the one i need to source, however can some tell me if it is a 240Vac unit. BTW, you might ask why ask this from Australia- Maytag parts are hard to buy here, I purchased all my parts direct from USA. the warranty servicing was at best poor, more likely very sub-standard. cheers Matt

Wish you could send some of that rain up to Houston, Texas! Sounds like you may need to replace that motor. Without a belt attached, it should turn rather freely. It's probably cutting out on heat overload.
