Hi there, My Bosch Dishwasher is leaving the dishes and cups grainy and dirty. I have checked and replaced the filters but I cannot replace the 'Fine Filter Plate' Unless it appears upside down! Is it supposed to look upside down or is this the reason that its not cleaning properly now? It just can't slot it nicely :-(

My 6 year old Bosch was leaving the dishes grainy, murky and stained. The flatware was also dull gray. I had a service technician come twice to no avail. Finally I started trouble-shooting myself and discovered that under the door gasket was a pile of filthy food residue that had been gathering for years. I scraped it out and washed all the gaskets and surfaces around the gaskets. I found the filters were coated with a greasy residue and got them cleaned up. Next I ran the dishwasher without soap and found the machine was filled with suds. No wonder my dishes were coated. I ran the machine through 10 cycles (without soap) before the suds were gone. The tech had warned me about my detergent: Cascade with the grease fighting power of Dawn, but I wanted to use it up. I threw it away and went back to a regular strength gel. I only use two teaspoons and my dishes have brightened again and are not longer coated.
