I have a Whirpool dryer they is not working. The belts are fine, there is 220 going to the outlet, I Have the back off and all the connections looks fine. Could this be the Thermal Fuse? Any ideas of things to look for or what may go on a fairly new unit

The first thing I would do is check the thermal fuse for continuity. What is the complete model number of the dryer?

Gene, I will check tonight, when i get home, the Thermal fuse is a #3392519. Would that fuse show wear or some type of burn? It appears to be in good condition from the looks of it.

I am having the same problems. Also I do get a light when the door is open and the actuator is not broken.

Sorry for the delay. There is no way to check it visually. It has to be checked for continuity or you can bypass it (much more risky) to see if the dryer will work.

Manufacturer part number 3392519 is Appliance Parts Pros part number AP3132867

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL LEQ9508PW1 | AppliancePartsPros.com

If the problem and the model number of the dryer are the same then the troubleshooting is the same too.
