When turn on oven to bake the broil comes on.

This is normal for most ovens especially during preheat. Some turn the broil and bake on full blast and some turn the bake on full blast and the broil on halfway. Unless I understand you wrong and your saying the only the boil unit is coming on and the bake isn’t coming on at all. Range Repair Guide

yes when i turn oven on bake only the broil come on. have put new element in.

[FONT='Times New Roman']Disconnect power to range, and then inspect the wires from the bake unit to the switch. If there doesn’t seem to any breaks or burnt places in the wires the selector switch (#18 on control panel breakdown) is the most likely cause. I would say it couldn’t be the thermostat because the broil unit is coming on but I can’t say for sure.[/FONT]
