I have an electric Samsung Range (model# NE59J7630SS). Recently, the oven has begun overheating. It was noticed when baking a casserole and the oven was smoking with a burning smell. When opened, it was obvious that the casserole was boiling over and the oven was way too hot even though the digital reading was reading 350oF where the setpoint was.

I just changed out the temperature sensor hoping for a quick and cheap fix, but the problem persists.

Any suggestions of troubleshooting and/or parts to replace?

BTW, before replacing the temperature sensor, I tried the "calibration" of the range by pressing the "1" and "Broil" buttons simultaneously allowing you to adjust the temp + or - 35o. This didn't work either, as the oven is overheating way beyond 35o.

My next thought is to disconnect the broil burner and see if that is what is is causing the overheating. There is also a High-limit thermostat, just under the back panel that looks easy to replace, that I thought of ordering to replace. But I'd rather do a proper troubleshoot and get the correct part rather than changing all these parts and have to scrap it in the end.
