Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 12/16/2007(UTC) Posts: 1		Hi, I replaced the bottem element on my older Whirlpool oven ( the old one didn't have any holes or bubbles, so it probably was not the problem ) The oven clicks as usual when I try to turn it on, but the oven indicator light doesn't come on and the bottom element still doesn't get hot. If I set it to broil, it clicks as usual and the top element does get red, but the oven indicator light doesn't come on as it should, all four burners on the stove top are working properly, and the indicator lights all come on for them. Any ideas why the bottom element isn't working? thanks!:rolleyes:

( not for anything, but w/ high voltage like 220vac, you should call a tech ...) you could have a broken wire or a thermal cutout which is open amongst other things...
