the refrigarator is on ( or is it just the fan ?) but it is neither cooling or freezing. I can turn the control knob for the refrigarator to off and the Fan shut's down.
wanting to know if the cost will be reasonable or should i be looking for a new Frig all together.

See if the compressor tries to come on when someone turns the fridge on. It's under the fridge accessed from the back. Do you hear a starter click or the compressor come on. Are the coils there warm or room temp. Is the fan running.
