When starting the dryer, heard a clunking noise(belt)?. Then I restarted it and just get motor noise/ load humming, but drum doesn't turn.
If it sounds like belt, how do I replace it?
Thanks, Tim

Ok, they don't make it particularly easy for you on this model, but it is really a matter of patience and perserverance. I suggest some help to hold the drum during the process. Also make sure you understand how the belt goes on and is held tight by the tension roller.
1. Remove the bottom service panel by removing two screws near the bottom of the panel. You can now look inside and determine that the belt is indeed broken.
2. Remove the front panel, making sure you disconnect the door switch. Make sure you reconnect the door switch on reassemby.
3. Remove the front bulkhead assemby which holds the drum. This is the place where it is handy to have a helper hold the drum.
4. Put you new belt on, then put the front bulkhead assemby back on.
5. Press on the tension roller and get the belt on the motor pulley.
6. Reassemble and you should be set to go.

Don't forget to unplug it first. The old lady might enjoy the insurance policy. LOL!!! Tom ApplianceEducator.com
