Hi Gene,
I can't believe so many things can cause the icemaker to stop working...the first I've seen in this entire post that replacing the optics, valve, and/or icemaker hasn't worked. Anyway, I turned the freezer temp lever from 3 down to 1 but the temperature has not changed. Any ideas?
Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris,
Normally it takes about 24 hours to see any changes after adjustment.
How did you measure the temperature? Don't rely on digital display if there is one.
Gene.

I'm using a regular analog freezer thermometer from home depot. It has been a couple days since the temperature was adjusted. Maybe a tad warmer at -12 degrees - still no ice.

Try to raise it to at least -5°F. What is the temperature in the refrigerator?

Fridge is 38 degrees (temp control on 2). I have the freezer temp control all the way down to 1.

Gene,
*I have kitchenaid superba model#KSCS25INSS00 *Water flows from door but no ice *Sensor does 2 blinks pause 2 blinks, when flap closed it's solid red *I have tried testing voltage between N&L = ~35V *Tried jumping H&T = completed about 1 revolution, water never activated *Tried jumping again. now doesn't move & N&L = 0V *Inlet valve not blocked or frozen *Freezer was at 0-5 deg when started messing. now at 20 deg *I'm wondering if having fridge hooked up to rev osm filter under sink would effect performance although we've had it that way in old house and worked fine.
I tried looking through most of these posts and entering as much info as I can to save you time. I really appreciate all the info you've given to others and any you can give me.
I will be ordering new ice maker regardless because coating on this one is chipping off and looks gross. I just want to make sure there's nothing else I should be ordering.

You may want to replace the ice maker first and see how it will perform. Post the results. - The ice maker Part number: 2198597

replaced ice maker yesterday. today=no ice *Sensor does 2 blinks pause 2 blinks, when flap closed it's solid red Tested fill tube the other day when I first asked question and I could blow through it so I don't think it's frozen.
Wife sick of buying ice at store. I think the best valentines present I could give her is a working ice machine.:)
