ignitor turns on but flame does not. Ignitor test out
is there a way to test the flame sensor?

David Yes, there is a way to test the Flame sensor, You'll need a multi meter and check across the two terminals of the sensor(with the wires off) for a closed circuit, when the sensor is cool. BUT, If your ignitor comes on, and after a few seconds it turns off, your flame sensor is OK, and based on your description, you most likely will need the solenoid coils for the gas valve. Part number: AP3094251
