when you install new evaportaing fan, does it start turning right away or does it cycle on? check the power across the red and yellow and have 13v, but fan still does not come on. any suggestions?:mad:

I would replace the motor AP3875639. If it still will not work, replace the motherboard in the back AP4297272. Lots of times a failed evaporator motor will blow out the board.

:) Don't mind an "ole fart", but doesn't the coil temperature have to drop to close the defrost limit before the fan motor energizes ?

The motherboard GE refrigerators do not have this function as I can see by the schematic, unless the moterboard internally does this functio.
