When washer is switched on, it begins agitating as if it was full of water. No water is taken on at all. The washer worked fine the previous day with no indication of problems.

there is a pressure switch in the controls which choses the size of the load and amount of water. Take the clear hose going down the side of the tank off and blow in it if you hear a clicking noise there is something in the dome on the side if the tank if not you need a pressure switch
