The washer runs through all cycles but on the spin cycle the agitator just jerks real slowly and there is a loud grinding/rubbing sound. I replaced the clutch but same problem continues. Water is pumped out ok, it just won't spin.

Could be a bad transmission. Any oil leaked out anywhere? Also could be bad ears on the drive tube or bad. Drive block

Pull the pump and turn the motor shaft clockwise. The clutch should engage and start turning, if not, you have a bad coupler and probably bad brake shoes.

Probably would have noticed a bad coupler in the process of replacing the clutch though

I disagree, something jammed would bust the coupler as soon as it starts up!
