OK, my front loader is now going through the spin cycle and vibrating badly. It will stop I guess due to a sensor saying to much. I pull ed the rear cover and ran a medium load and empty, empty was OK but medium load the tub assembly really gets rocking. All the shock and springs are in place but just don't seem to be able to damping the oscilation.

With the back in place we continue t use but to get it through the fast spin cycle I have to put most of my body weight on the cabinet to hold it and then it manages to go through the spin, no loud banging with my weight on it. Since it will finish witht he help off additional weight I'm wndering if the shocks are gone and cannot dampen the movement???? But I don't want to replace $90 of shocks just for fun.

I have a video of it running I hope to post later. Ideas?

Is there a way to test if the shocks are OK? I see no fluid or oils at the base of the shocks but not sure that matters.

It would be good if I could see if they are shot first, any clues?
