Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 5/28/2008(UTC) Posts: 1,620		Wrong, on the bottom freezers it shows you to cut the white wire in pin2, on the SxS refers there is a blue jumper wire between pins 8 and 9 if that is there, it needs to be cut... The instructions say "All bottom Freezer models", but below that it says "Encoder models with the following serial number" and gives you the serial #'s of the ones that may need to be cut, this is for the SxS refers

Also the instructions don't list model#'s, just a list of the first 3 parts of the serial#. So if the jumper is not there we'll move on... Open the fresh food door, and with one hand push the light switch closed, and with the other feel if you have any air coming in through the damper door. "the box on the left top wall of the freshfood section" Keep feeling for about 30 seconds
