Dishwasher has just recently starting making a dull "roar" when it is washing. It works fine, but it very noisy when it used to be so quiet. What can I check? The arms that spin are not hitting anything.

Here is the parts breakdown. Replacement parts for General Electric GLD4260L00SS Dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.comTry adding a quart or two of hot water after a fill. Just be careful to not overfill it. These pumps will be noisy is they are sucking in air (cavitating). If the noise disappears then odds are that the screen filter in the input side of the water valve needs cleaning. Could also be something in the sump or wrapped around the chopper. May even be something in one of the arm holes causing the water to splash at a weird angle. |
