I replaced the old element with a new element and fuse. However, I did not replace the limit thermostat. The reason being, the old thermostat has three terminals; one for a black wire, one for an orange wire, and one on top of the black wire terminal side for a smaller red/yellow wire about 16 gage. The new limit thermostat only has two terminals. One for the black wire and one for the orange wire. What do I do with the red/yellow wire and/or where do I place it? The black wire and the smaller red/yellow wire can be traced up to the control panel on the dryer. Please advise. Thank you.
