dryer will not start after pushing timer knob.can hear timer clicking,but won't start.

Willie, you need to take off the front of the dryer. So first pop up the top, and then there are 2 screws on the inside of the front, about 6 inches from the top on each side. They are 1/4 inch screws. Once those screws are out, remove the wires from the door switch, and then lift up on the front and remove. Look down on the front panel on the bottom, and clean all the lint out. Also stick your hand up there, and get all the lint out you can. Then if you look on top of the burner housing, where the flame goes in, there is a small round part, the size of a dime, with 2 wires coming to it. That will most likely be your culprit. The part # is LA-1053. Make sure you do what I said with the dryer unplugged. The kit comes woth the thermostat that is also mounted to the burner housing. Tom
