Hi I have a admiral refrigerator, that is continually running. The fan has not shut of for at least 24 hours. The freezer is ice cold, and the refrigerator is not nearly as cold as it used to be, I am getting alott of condnesation on my food and containers. I have called a repairman and he said that it might be that the vent is frozen not sure if that is right or not. I am not ready to spend the big $$$ to get it fixed wondering if anybody has any advice. I can feel cold air coming from the the vent inside in the back of the fridge. It is just not shutting of its like it is not getting up to temp and then shutting down. thanks

Pull your fridg away from the wall and on the left bottom locate a plastic box. This is your defrost timer.Turn the middle knob till the fridg compressor stops. Then remove freezer back panel and check frost pattern. If completely frosted and you see no defrost heater getting hot, you probably have a bad defrost thermostat, a little round thing clipped on the evaporator. If it is open when cold, that would confirm it is bad. If you do get defrosting action, your defrost timer that you just turned is bad. Defrost coils with a hair dryer and click on yor model # above to get order info.

A sad thing to have to check the work of appliance repairmen! If only people would tell others about the good and honest repairmen they have used, the bad ones will eventually go bankrupt.
