My dryer will not start. There is power coming through the outlet. I have cleaned vents and hose duct. It was running this morning, but now will not start. Is there a thermostat or fuse that I can check?

Is there a thermostat or fuse that I can check? The part you need is a LA-1053. It is a thermal fuse kit. If you pop the top up on the dryer, and of course you have it unplugged, in the back up top in the middle is the element, if you follow the 2 white wires going on the right side of the element housing, that will lead you to the thermal fuse. The kit also comes with the thermostat, that is mounted on top of the heater housing. I also want you to take the front off, because this dryer has a history of lint build-up causing this problem. So take the 2 screws off on the inside of the front panel, up top, on the right, and left side, and pull the front off, and clean all the lint out of the vent housing on the bottom of the front.
