I have a GE Profile French Door refridgerator, with the freezer on the bottom, and the icemaker inside the refridgerator in the upper left corner. Once the ice bucket is removed, you can press a tab and slide the icemaker unit front. However there is a cable attached to it that comes up the left side. I suspect there is a connector that has to be removed, but I can't see it. How do I remove the icemaker? It started acting up after we were away for 3 weeks during which the icemaker was turned off, as was the water. It makes ice normally and then stops for some reason. I've power cycled the refridgerator and sometimes that starts the icemaker working.
What's the trick to removing the ice maker?

after you remove the ice container there is a panel on bottom, left hand side with one screw towards the front. remove and slide forward, then you can unplug the power cord and remove the ice maker.:)
