I have a gas dryer that won't heat

History;
About a month ago, the dryer started to stop heating about amonth ago. I checked and cleaned the exhaust run, but it was pretty clean. A few days ago, it stopped heating completely

What I know;
The exhaust run is clean - no obstructions.
When I take off the front panel, and air gets in between the air duct assemblya dn blower assembly, the gas 'allowed' to start and to ignite. If the air duct assembly and blower assembly are held tight, the ignitor glows hot, but hten shuts off. It appears something is not allowing the gas to enter (controlling the gas solenoid).

So, looking at the blower assembly, there are two sensors - The thermal fuse and the thermistor.

The thermal fuse has a continuity reading of 0.
The thermistor has a continuity reading of 11.3 at 200K Ohms, and drops to around 7 when heat is applied.

I would assume the thermistor is the culprit, how does the air entering between the air duct assembly and the blower assembly affect the system? If it wasn't for that, it seems pretty straight forward.
