The bake element went out tonight on my stove. I am wondering how hard it is going to be to replace it myself.

Here are your parts Replacement parts for MAGIC CHEF 3842VRV Range - S/c F/s Ele | AppliancePartsPros.comIt should not be hard to replace. Unplug or remove power from the unit. One side of the element is always live even with the unit turned off so this is very important. Remove the screws holding the brackets to the back of the oven. Gently pull the element into the oven so you can remove the connectors from it and replace it. It is a good idea to clip something (clothespin etc.) onto the wires so they cannot disappear into the back before you get the new element hooked up. |
