My dryer stoppped heating, realling breaking me heart since I paid 2K for both washer and dryer??? I know it seems old but any help troubleshooting woudl be greatlt appreciated!!!NO Heat at all!!! I have been using the local laundromat, but woudl like to fix this before I call someone. Heard this was a great resource, hoping someone out there has a few suggestions??? :eek:

Hi Bill, You have to have a simple meter to perform the troubleshooting. You may want to start with checking the voltage at the dryer wall outlet. The normal readings suppose to be: 120 VAC between each hot wire and the neutral and 240 VAC between the hot wires. If one of the "legs" is missing, the motor would still run while the heating element needs 240 VAC. Post the results. have no heat but still runs check wall outlit and its 240 heating elements are not turning red is it my thermostat or heating elements need replaced
