Hi Sam,
I would remove the oven from the cabinet and start the troubleshooting from the junction box, checking all wires and devices for continuity from the junction box to the control board.

(yes - oven is out of the cabinet, sitting on the kitchen floor) :)

Hi Gene,
you nailed it -- black wires in the junction box were BBQ-cooked...
should have known that the pop and smell of burning plastic, were in that box. the wire nut on the black, was almost completely melted.
white wires also suffered some collateral damage.

The breaker is fine, re-packed everything on the oven and we're good to go!
and kudos to Mrs. semloh314 for being so patient without an oven for so long. we're back in business .. first meal, cooked a frozen pizza for the kids.

Hey Gene,
I also got the E6 F2 error, had a technician from A&E come out, he told me it was the panel and showed me how to replace it. I ordered the panel, installed it, and am still getting a blank panel display. What next? thanks, doug

Hi Doug,
If the display is blank then it has nothing to do with the panel. Most likely the problem is a bad control board or power source for the control board, depends on model.

Hey Gene,
I have a Whirlpool GBD307PD that went blank the other night. I heard two beeps and then the display went blank. I haven not received and error code or anything. I have turned off the power over night and still the display is blank. When I select the upper or lower oven button I get the four beeps and then nothing happens. The question is do I need to replace the control panel or the control board? If I have to replace the control board ($$$) do you have any referals to where I can purchase the board? Is this something I can replace myself or is it complicated?
Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

More likely the problem is a bad control board but to verify it I need the complete model number of the oven. The model number you posted is incomplete.

Gene. Gene I had a repair man come and troubleshoot just to verify what part it is that needs replaced. He couldn't find the model number, but he did find out the panel had enough power to it and that it is a bad control board. They are on back order due to the Sanami that hit Japan, so I will have to see if I can find a used one. Thank you for getting back with me.
