Hello. The problem with the gas dryer is this: The timer has different settings and we always turn the timer knob to the left close the door and push start. When we set the timer you can usually hear(faintly) the timer working, now we cant. I put a load of clothes in at night(yesterday) and woke the next morning and the dryer was still on. I felt no heat from the dryer and the timer was in the same position as when I left it the night before. I ran the dryer again for ten minutes, but this time I set the timer on the right side of the knob and the timer worked but no heat at all. Hopefully you can help me with a solution. Thanks Carl

You have 1 of 2 problems. If you take the back of the dryer off, you will see a thermal fuse. It will be white in color, and a inch and a half long, by a half inch wide. Unplug the dryer, and take the 2 wires off of it, and put the terminal ends together, and put some tape around it so it does not hit metal, and turn the dryer on. If it works replace the thermal fuse. DO NOT RUN the dryer with the fuse jumped out, this is for testing only, because it is the only thing between you and that dryer burning down the house. If it does not work, replace the ignitor. Tom ApplianceEducator.comApplianceEducator.com
