Up right freezer won't shut off unless I unplug it. I replaced the thermostat control. now I can turn it to the off position and it goes off. My question is why wouldn't it shut off automatically it is down to 0 degrees. bar5e@yahoo.com does the reley have anything to do with it going off and on?Thank you,Charles

Make sure you pushed in the cold control sensing wire all the way back where the old one was.

Are you sure you got the exact factory service part, or a universal replacement?
