I spilled water on the interior glass of my oven door and it cracked. A few small pieces of the glass have come out into the oven. Two questions:

1-- Is it necessary to replace it? Can I safely continue to use it with the broken glass? (I have been using it for many months now without any noticable problems.)

2-- I am having a difficult time finding the replacement part. Do I need to plan to replace anything else in this repair? Should I just order the glass?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks. You said item #32 in the door section. I don't see an item 32. I see part 338 that looks like the interior door window to me. Is that the right part?

Also, how to I get the door off the oven for the repair?

Thanks for the help.

Got the replacement glass from AppliancePros. Great! I got the door off the oven. The only way I see to get into the door to replace the glass seems to be by removing the star-screws from the inside panel of the door. True? I need a special screwdriver? Thanks for any help!

Thanks again for all your help. Picked up a Torx set from the hardware store (luckily it came with some small sockets too, which it turned out I needed). Took the door off and removed all the screws from the inside panel and the bolts from the bottom and took the door apart. The glass went in without a hitch! Now with the glass looking good, the inside of the oven looks a mess. Ugh. Now I've got to clean that! :)

Thanks for the help!
