Pressure sensitive controls do not respond. Can not adjust temperature or fan speed. Have to pull the plug to shut the unit off.

The main control board could be defective... If you don't want to shed out that many bucks for a new one then a cheaper substitute line voltage thermostat could be used that the air conditioner can be plugged into to turn it on and off.. I don't see a universal one in APPros list but they may have something that will work... Good luck cheers, kooler
