I have a ge profile dishwasher pdwt380r10ss. I had lots of hard water and detergent build up. I took apart the inside and cleaned everything out. The fine filter had a gasket that was falling apart. I put it back together and didn't replace the gasket. Is it ok to run the dishwasher without it? My second problem is that I have a loud humming only when water is pumping thru the unit. I have the motor off and impeller off and everything looks good. Could my moter be starting to go bad? Will replacing the impeller help? I have ran the unit with the top rack removed and it still is humming. I also put the o ring on the input for the water on the second rack. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED!! Thanks for any help!

I have the same issue. I bought the filter but can´t find the replacement part for the seals/gaskets. Do you installed it without anything? any issues? Do you know why the part is so deteriorated? maybe water temperature too high? I looked at the original filter and its perimeter has a cutting edge with the deteriorated gasket. The new filter has a bent around all the perimeter and inner holes... no gasket and therefore I´m stuck with the repair. dannyvela attached the following image(s):
