The dryer won't start. It does have power. I do sometimes hear a faint buzz from the timer when I try to start it. I just bought the timer from appliancepros thinking that was it. Is there something else I should try? Did I order the correct part?

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. Your situation is one that is typically a very difficult thing to diagnose.
Here is the first thing I would try.
Disconnect the dryer. Then take off the back and take off the leads to the start switch and tape them together with electrical tape. Then plug in the dryer, being very careful, and see if it starts. If it does, the problem is your start switch.
If not, let us know, and also tell us why you decided to replace the timer, and some background on your problem.
Thanks and good luck.

It sits on the back right hand corner of the heater housing. You need to take the top off to see it. It is the size of a dime, and has 2 wires coming to it. Unplug the dryer, take the 2 wires off, and wire them together, and put a little tape on them, so it does not hit metal, and give it a try. If it works, do not run it that way, that is a saftey device, so the dryer does not burn down the house. Tom www.applianceeducator.com:cool:
