Use this link and follow the steps until you get the spin basket out you should see the tub seal. GE Washer Disassembly Guide

Thank you for your help your directions were pretty similar to how I did the Job. However ; I happened to read how to get the agitator out by viewing a similar model apart and It was fairly easy from there . I was just in a big enough hurry that I was done before I got a reply. I did find your site very helpful and appreciate your time and effort. Thank you for your time.
