Here are your parts Parts for Kenmore Dryer 11060932990 - AppliancePartsPros.comIf you go to the Sears parts site they have part breakdown diagrams. Unfortunately they do not share these with other parts vendors. Sounds like it could be a problem with the switches on the motor. The motor has two centrifugal switches on it. They are activated when the motor gets close to operating speed. One of them connects in the heating coil. This ensures that the heater does not come on until there is air flow. The other switch has two purposes. It disconnects the start winding, if this winding is left on then the motor would over heat. It also provides a parallel circiut path around the start switch so that you can release the start switch and the unit keeps running. Could be that the motor is clogged solid with lint, preventing the centrifugal mechanism in the motor from working. Could be this part of the motor is dirty. Could also be that the centrifugal mechanism is broken in which case you will have to replace the motor. |
