dryer starts when start button is pushed but stops when released. i taped start button down and the dryer performed normally. whats the problem?

Here are your parts Parts for Kenmore Dryer 11063932101 - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. The motor relay should close and keep the motor running when you release the start button. Could be the relay itself. Easiest way to check this is to unplug the unit and swap the heater and motor relays. Then plug it in and give it a try. If it now stays running but you have no heat then you know it is the relay. I believe the two relays are the same but double check this. If the above changes nothing then odds are that the control board is toast. |
